Private Boaters

Experienced boaters can build their own trip. The Rogue is a regulated-use river from May 15th to October 15th with permits by lottery. Apply for the permit with the Bureau of Land Management. Be sure to book your room at Half Moon Bar Lodge soon after permits are awarded in February

If you pick up a short notice trip you can check our availability calendar, or call us for availability at (541) 841-5067. Staying at the lodge can make a last-minute trip that much more convenient!

Please be respectful of our no dogs policy.

Arrivals and Departures

Arrivals and Early Check-In

Check-in is at 4pm, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Early check-in can be accommodated with prior notice and will require additional payment.

Upon arrival, boaters are to communicate their arrival via walkie talkie located at the tram, or by walking up to the grounds.

All boxes, coolers, and food containers are to be taken out of the boats and loaded onto the tram along with overnight bags. Anything that is not needed in rooms for the stay can be secured from bears in our tram house.

Your bags will be portered from the tram to a central location for collection.

Departures and Late Check-Out

Check-out is at 9am, unless prior arrangements have been made. Please allow for time to reorganize boxes and coolers into boats if necessary.

Late check-out can be accommodated and will require prior arrangements and additional payment.

Accommodations

Meals and Dietary Requirements

Appetizers, dinner, coffee service, and breakfast are included as part of the stay. The meals are vegetable focused with generous portions of perfectly prepared proteins.

In order to provide the best possible experience for our guests, we ask that dietary requirements be shared with us via email 30 days before your launch date.

Send dietary requirements to house@halfmoonbarlodge.com.

We are able to accommodate the most common of dietary restrictions. We do not have a gluten free kitchen, but are able to accommodate gluten free foods as needed. We will work, within reason, to ensure a comfortable and delicious dining experience. The earlier your restrictions are made available, the better prepared our chefs can be.

Bar

We offer a full bar with signature drinks and a focus on top shelf selections.

In the morning, we are able to make espresso drinks. Guests are welcome to purchase from the bar and pay us directly.

There is a $10.00 corking fee, invoiced upon departure, for wine sourced off premises.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and cash for these purchases.

Because we are a fully licensed bar, the only alcohol served on the property must be purchased from our bar.

Gratuities

Our staff works hard to ensure the best possible stay and quality care. Gratuities are always greatly appreciated.

We encourage our guests to give appreciation in cash, rather than credit cards.

Bagged Lunch

Half Moon Bar Lodge would love to provide a bagged lunch to be taken with you and enjoyed on the river. Please give notice if this is wanted to allow our kitchen time to prepare.

Bagged lunches include a gourmet sandwich, bag of chips, canned soda, an apple or piece of fruit, and Michelle’s World Famous River Cookies.

Half Moon reserves the right to sneak little snacks and a love note in the bag.

The price of a bagged lunch is $20. Notice and payment should be made thirty days prior to arrival.

Swag

We have shirts, hoodies, hats, visors, and stickers available for purchase at the lodge.
